I got a deal on a Shedman shed at Lowes. It is a very nice shed. 4.2 kwhs of chevy volt batteries powering up to 2000 watts of 120v. Siting on a 12x12 deck of CULL pressured treated wood. Deck is on deck blocks and 4x4s. Shingle roof Baricade Insulated Subfloor. R-12 fibreglass wall and ceiling insulation. Culled pine shiplap walls. Engineered hardwood flooring. Ikea sofa bed. Little buddy propane heater. Security lights. Moisture detection/On/Off fan. And a Karelian Bear Dog. Shed sold for $4500. I paid $1800. I was lucky, but really it may be worth the list price.

8 @ 2.3 kWh chevy volt batteries for 18.4 kwh 5kw Growatt Hybrid Inverter 4 120v circuits First step in any cottage build to to build a shed. It was a bit of a hack but we only had weeks before winter. I built it 10X10ft to avoid a need for a permit. I later found I needed a permit so I regret not building it bigger. 12x16 would have been better. I currently have 22kwh of battery supply the lots needs for now. I have a separate video on that. My neighbour Lyle is the star of the video. |
